To date, the Regional Headquarters of Zaporiz’ka Oblast has registered up to 59,000 IDPs. In spite of the large number of people who moved from the east of Ukraine to our Oblast, the preventive advocacy activities are continually carried out in order to inform the population on how to act in times of emergencies.
The Senior Field Coordinator of UNHCR Regional Office for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine, Mahir Safarli has presented to the participants of the meeting a new Road Map adopted for the internally displaced persons from the zone of antiterrorist operation (ATO). The guidebook has been developed as a joint effort of the City Aid Center, the Head Office of the State Emergency Agency in Zaporiz’ka Oblast, as well as Zaporizhzhya Regional Administration and the City Council.
